The aim of the Level 2 Extended Diploma in Health and Social Care is to provide learners with the knowledge and understanding essential to the health and social care sector, supporting progression to further learning or the workplace.
Learners are encouraged to attend work placement in order to support their learning. We recommend 30 hours of placement in a Real Work Environment.
Learners must achieve the unit assessments for the 5 mandatory units and 2 optional units.
The Level 2 Extended Diploma in Health and Social Care have also been designed to enable learners to progress to our Level 3 Award, Certificate and Extended Diploma in Health and Social Care (which supports progression to Higher Education), further learning at Level 3 and above, or to the workplace.
